Noile procesoare AMD Opteron ofera cea mai buna performanta, scalabilitate si eficienta

AMD a anunţat astăzi lansarea noilor serii de procesoare AMD Opteron™ 6200 şi 4200 (nume de cod “Interlagos” si “Valencia”).

Noile procesoare AMD Opteron au fost create să ofere companiilor:

  • O mai bună performanţă pentru mediile de afaceri cu pâna la 84 procente în plusi
  • Scalabilitate crescută pentru Virtualizare  cu până la 73 procente mai multă lăţime de bandă, permiţând serverelor să suporte mai multe maşini virtuale şi să administreze fluxuri de lucru ridicateii
  • Eficienţă ridicată pentru Cloud cu un consum de energie per nucleu redus la jumătateiii , un spaţiu de instalare mai mic cu 2/3iv şi preţ al platformei redus cu 2/3v

AMD a anunţat extinderea gamei de produse pentru 2012 prin adaugarea noii platforme AMD Opteron 3000 Series. Platforma AMD Opteron 3000 are ca ţinta pieţele 1P Web Hosting/Web Serving şi Microserver, foarte aglomerate şi cu eficienţă energetică ridicată. Primul procesor  lansat va fi cel cu 4-8 nuclee nume de cod “Zurich”, aşteptat pe piaţă în prima jumătate a anului 2012. “Zurich” are la bază arhitectura “Bulldozer” şi va fi integrat pe platforme AM3+. Seria AMD Opteron 3000 a fost creată pentru furnizori de servicii hosting care necesită servere dedicate pentru clienţii lor. Clienţii cloud şi web hosting apreciază economiile de costuri asociate cu o infrastructură accesibila ca preţ, dar doresc în acelaşi timp un produs competitiv cu funcţii de securitate şi fiabilitate ridicate, şi certificare OS.

Sisteme de la Acer, Cray, Dell, HP, IBM şi alti parteneri de canal sunt asteptate pe piaţa în perioada imediat următoare.
